Message from the Division Chief

The Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition at UT Health San Antonio is committed to excellence in academic medicine. We are a growing and vibrant team of physicians, educators and investigators devoted to improving the lives of our patients and the health of our community through superb clinical care, medical education and research.

We offer consultative expertise in intestinal and liver diseases and state-of-the-art endoscopic procedures at our UT Health Physicians practice housed at Medical Arts & Research Center (MARC) as well as in collaboration with our hospital partners, including University Health System (at both University Hospital and the Robert B. Green Campus outpatient facility) and Audie L. Murphy Veterans Administration Hospital. Our teams work constantly to develop and refine the most up-to-date and innovative approaches to improving gastrointestinal health for our patients and the community.
