Personal Statement:
Chandraprakash Umapathy, M.D., M.S., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology at the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Umapathy has several years’ experience as an academic hospitalist and clinical researcher at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, with a focus on pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel disease. He is interested in outcomes research utilizing large national databases, with an emphasis on preventing readmissions. Dr. Umapathy is actively involved in providing and directing inpatient and outpatient medical care, education, and clinical research development.
