Personal Statement:
San Antonio is a vibrant and fast-growing city with so much to offer! I love how there’s always something new to explore—whether it’s restaurants, cultural events, or outdoor spaces—and the people are incredibly warm and welcoming. It strikes a great balance between big-city energy and a strong sense of community. I would wholeheartedly recommend the UT Health San Antoni GI fellowship because it truly offers the best of training, support, and community. Having completed my residency at UT Health San Antonio, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the GI faculty and fellows, who are not only outstanding clinicians but also genuine friends and colleagues. The culture is one of continuous improvement, with fellows having a strong voice in shaping their training. The program’s commitment to both clinical excellence and personal growth, combined with a diverse patient population, ensures we are exceptionally well-prepared for independent practice.
