Hospital Medicine -Assistant Professor/Clinical
Job Description
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is recruiting a Hospitalist. This position will hold an appointment of Assistant Professor/Clinical, Associate Professor/Clinical or Professor/Clinical dependent on level of experience.
The position involves clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Hospital as well as participating in medical student and resident education and other scholarly activities. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, completed 3 years of an ACGME certified Internal Medicine residency and be board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine. In addition, must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board.

Hospital Medicine-Assistant Professor/Research
Job Description
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is recruiting a Clinical Investigator. This position will hold an appointment of Assistant Professor/Research or higher. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
Successful candidates will have a track record or background skills in health services or health systems research, value-based healthcare, T3/T4 translational research, patient centered outcomes research, or biomedical informatics, and a career goal to excel as a researcher in hospital medicine. A portion of this position involves clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Hospital as well as participating in medical student and resident education and other scholarly activities. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, completed 3 years of an ACGME certified Internal Medicine residency and be board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine. The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is experiencing rapid growth in its clinical program and is recruiting physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners to work the day shift. This position holds an appointment of Faculty Specialist, it involves clinical work on the Hospital Medicine Team, Transplant and non-housestaff services, for the University Hospital, this includes weekends. Must have relevant state license and DEA certification, this is a requirement for these positions.

Hospital Medicine – Nocturnist PA or NP
Job Description
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is experiencing rapid growth in its clinical program and is recruiting physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners to work the night shift. These positions involve cross-coverage of Hospital Medicine, the transplant, the Cardiology teams, and assistance with admissions. Candidate must be flexible and willing to adapt. Previous inpatient service or ICU experience preferred.
It is required that candidates have a license from the Texas State Board or Texas Nursing Board, and have a certificate issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration and board certification for credentials with the UTHSA and University Hospital, this is a requirement for this position.

Moonlighter Hospitalist – PRN
Job Description
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine / Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is recruiting Hospitalist positions as PRN Moonlighters. These positions involve hourly clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Health Systems, as well as participating in medical student education. The shifts will consist mostly of nights and weekends. Candidates must have a license issued by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and be board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine. In addition, a certification by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration is required for credentials with UT Medicine San Antonio and University Hospital.
