Administrative Assistant- Senior
Job Description
Under limited direction, provides advanced administrative or technical support to a department or group of professionals. Responsible for daily office and fiscal management duties to include collecting, compiling, and analyzing moderately complex data and information as needed. May lead or mentor lower level team members.
Responsibilities
- Provides complex administrative and clerical support including all routine correspondence, mailing, scanning, faxing , faxing and copying and maintaining filing system.
- Prepares complex reports, correspondence and presentations.
- Answers phone calls and responds to inquiries.
- Manages calendars, schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments and travel arrangements as assigned.
- Maintains office supplies for the department.
- Assists with the daily operations and fiscal activities of the department.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in office management and administrative procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Possess knowledge of standard technology and software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Education
High school diploma or GED is required.
Required Skills
Seven (7) years related experience is required.
Clinical Track & Academic Hospitalists
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT San Antonio (UTSA) is currently seeking Clinical Track and Academic Hospitalists. These positions will hold an appointment of Assistant Professor/Clinical, Associate Professor/Clinical or Professor/Clinical dependent on the applicant’s level of experience.
Clinical Track positions involve clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Hospital on our physician-only service lines as well as admissions and cross-cover. Academic Track positions involve clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Hospital as well as admissions, cross-cover, and participating in medical student and resident education and other scholarly activities.
Qualified candidates must have a MD or DO degree, have completed 3 years of an ACGME-certified Internal Medicine residency and be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). In addition, must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board and maintain a certification by the Drug Enforcement Administration for credentials with UTSA and University Hospital.
