Clinical Track Hospitalist
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is currently seeking a full-time Hospitalist. This position will hold an appointment of Assistant Professor/Clinical, Associate Professor/Clinical or Professor/Clinical dependent on the applicant’s level of experience.
This position involves clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Hospital on our physician-only service lines. Qualified candidates must have a MD or DO degree, have completed 3 years of an ACGME-certified Internal Medicine residency and be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). In addition, candidates must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
Triage Hospitalist
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is currently seeking a full-time Hospitalist to serve as a triagist. This position will hold an appointment of Assistant Professor/Clinical, Associate Professor/Clinical, or Professor/Clinical dependent on the applicant’s level of experience.
This position involves clinical work as a triagist (or admitting medical officer) at University Hospital. Qualified candidates must have a MD or DO degree, have completed 3 years of an ACGME-certified Internal Medicine residency and be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). In addition, candidates must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
Nocturnist Hospitalist
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is currently seeking a nocturnist Hospitalist. This position will hold an appointment of Assistant Professor/Clinical.
This position involves clinical work on non-housestaff services at University Hospital as well as admissions, cross-cover, and participating in medical student and resident education and other scholarly activities. Qualified candidates must have a MD or DO degree, have completed 3 years of an ACGME-certified Internal Medicine residency and be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). In addition, candidates must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
Assistant Professor/Research
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is recruiting a Clinical Investigator. This position will hold an appointment of Assistant Professor/Research or higher. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
Successful candidates will have a track record or background skills in health services or health systems research, value-based healthcare, T3/T4 translational research, patient centered outcomes research, or biomedical informatics, and a career goal to excel as a researcher in hospital medicine. A portion of this position involves clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Hospital as well as participating in medical student and resident education and other scholarly activities. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, completed 3 years of an ACGME certified Internal Medicine residency and be board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine. In addition, must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board and maintain a certification by the Drug Enforcement Administration for credentials with UTHSA and University Hospital.
