Flow Cytometry – Immunophenotyping
Immunophenotyping for Leukemias and Lymphomas
Description
This testing procedure is used to detect and characterize hematologic diseases in different specimen types (bone marrow, blood, lymph nodes or other tissues and fluids). The clinician or STRL pathologist will determine the specific Immunophenotyping panel to be performed. An interpretation of the immunophenotypic findings is provided by a hematopathologist and faxed as soon as it is signed out.
The price of each panel is based on the number and type of markers used. Additional markers may be added, only as necessary, to assist diagnostic interpretation.
Methodology
The Clinical Flow Cytometry Laboratory currently utilizes six-color (eight-parameter) immunophenotyping (BD FACS Canto II Cytometer) with sophisticated analysis software (DB FACS DIVA) for the detection and characterization of leukemias, lymphomas and other hematologic disorders.
Performed

Service is available on holiday, weekend and after business hours with direct coordination with the laboratory staff.
