In-situ Hybridization

Epstein-Barr Virus is a member of the human Herpes virus family. EBV is the causative agent in infectious mononucleosis and is strongly associated with the etiology of Hodgkin’s disease, Burkett’s lymphoma, peripheral T-Cell lymphoma, gastric carcinoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. EBV infection is also associated with the induction of post transplant lymphorproliferative disorder.
