Karen Hentschel-Franks, DO
Karen Hentschel-Franks, DO, F.A.A.S.M., Associate Professor of Pediatrics

Dr. Franks has been a member of the UT Health San Antonio Faculty for over 18 years. She has served as Assistant Professor since 2004 and was recently promoted Associate Professor in 2022.

Her interests are pediatric sleep medicine, applications of noninvasive ventilation for children and sleep education. She also educates medical students, respiratory therapy students and residents about sleep and essentials of noninvasive ventilation in pediatric patients along with  educating fellows and staff.

 

 

 

 

 

Your Primary Care Physician may refer your child to a Sleep Medicine provider for concers with:

  • Snoring
  • Apnea
  • Obstructive sleep Apnea
  • Restless leg movements
  • Period leg movement
  • Sleep walking
  • Nightmares
  • Insomnia
