Developmental Screening in Primary Care and When to Utilize a Developmental Pediatrician

Objectives:
To increase awareness and education for pediatric providers

 

Dr. Mario Fierro is Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician and is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Health San Antonio. He is from California but has spent most of his life in Texas. He was undergraduate at St. Mary’s University and received his MD from Harvard Medical School in Boston. Subsequently he completed his pediatric residency at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Washington State and fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado in Denver. He has been in San Antonio for over 2 decades and his goal is to empower parents to advocate for their children with special needs.
