Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes

Objectives:
To increase awareness and education for pediatric providers

 

Dr. Maria Rayas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Washington and Lee University and completed her medical school, residency, and fellowship training at UT Health San Antonio. She is the endocrinologist dedicated to caring for the pediatric and adult patients with cystic fibrosis endocrine disorders at our institution. Dr. Rayas is a budding clinician-scientist with research efforts devoted to identifying factors that contribute to the development of cystic fibrosis related diabetes to improve screening, diagnosis, and treatment practices.
