How to Work Through a Clinical Ethics Problem: One Ethicist’s Approach

Objectives:
To increase awareness and education for pediatric providers

Dr. Brian S. Carter is an academic neonatologist who has been in practice for 40 years. He was a Board Certified Neontologist and has been trained in ethics and palliative care. He is a past Chairman of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Hospice & Palliative Medicine and co-edited and authored the 1st textbook on pediatric palliative care (2004), and recently co-edited and authored the 1st textbook on perinatal-neonatal palliative care (2019). He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapter and is a frequent speaker at academic institutions in North America and internationally.
