What We Do
The Bioinformatics Division in the Department of Population Health Sciences is focused on the analysis and distribution of biological data, often genetic sequences, cell populations or protein samples.
The Biostatistics Division in the Department of Population Health Sciences is the home for biostatistics and research design expertise required for a wide range of preclinical research, epidemiological studies, and interventional biomedical trials.
The Clinical Research Informatics Division in the Department of Population Health Sciences is focused on using programming, research data management, and informatics to leverage data to support the design, feasibility, implementation, conduct, and reporting of clinical studies.
The Health Interventions, Epidemiology, Health Policy & Evaluation Division focuses on improving population health through research, evidence-based interventions, and methods for data collection using community engagement and health communications strategies that are culturally relevant. This work is tied together with the Institute for Health Promotion Research which is a stand-alone institute but headquartered in the department.
