How to Apply
All applicants to the Addiction Medicine Program at UT Health San Antonio should submit the following materials through ERAS (the Electronic Residency Application Service) no later than October 1, for entry the following July 1:
In addition to the ERAS application, the following documents are also required:
- Dean’s letter
- 3 letters of recommendation
- Personal Statement
- Curriculum Vitae
- USMLE or COMLEX Scores
Successful completion (or anticipated completion) of a 3-year ACGME accredited program is also required.
After all the above documents have been received through ERAS, applicants will be selected to interview with two or more of our faculty members. Interviews generally are scheduled on Wednesday from July through late October.
Applicants must be eligible for institutional licensure in the State of Texas. They must also pass a criminal background check.

The Addiction Medicine Fellowship is part of the MATCH. You must register with the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) to be considered for our program.
