UT Health Medical Arts & Research Center (MARC)

Lupus Clinic

Established in 2005, as indicated by its name, the Lupus Clinic at UT Medicine provides diagnosis and ongoing care to patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, or SLE. Lupus is often a multisystem disease that may require complex treatment regiments that are difficult to manage in a busy general rheumatology clinic. Patients with SLE benefit from the added focus allowed by this dedicated clinic.  The Lupus Clinic also provides our patients access to clinical trials of novel medications to treat SLE.

High Risk Rheumatoid Arthritis Clinic

Patients with rheumatoid arthritis, or RA, do not always respond as expected to medications. The High-Risk RA clinic was established to allow a concentrated approach on patients with hard-to-treat RA. We have an excellent record of successful treatment of refractory RA. Our approach may involve the use of combinations of medications, requiring the intensive safety monitoring allowed in this focused clinic.

MARC Infusion Services

Recently launched February 2022, our MARC Infusion Services allows our patients to receive the novel biologic medications that have revolutionized the treatment of immune-mediated diseases.
