Overview

Our mission is to promote excellence in clinical practice, advance medical knowledge and healthcare outcomes, and continuous learning.

To achieve this, we have created a highly adaptable program.

We aim to train the next generation of highly motivated APP hospitalists through a comprehensive education program with mentorship and clinical experience to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in an academic setting.

Objectives:

  • Practice autonomously and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrate synthesis of hospital medicine core competencies and clinical reasoning
  • Develop enhanced clinical judgement and advanced critical thinking skills.
  • Create appropriate and efficient patient centered care plans that prioritize patient needs and preferences.
  • Maintaining a high level of professional communication to optimize safety and quality outcomes.

Appointment

APP Fellows will be appointed at the level of Specialist in the Division of Hospital Medicine.
