Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice Provider Fellowships
Overview
Our mission is to promote excellence in clinical practice, advance medical knowledge and healthcare outcomes, and continuous learning.
To achieve this, we have created a highly adaptable program.
- Advance Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship: This 13-month program offers meticulous, structured clinical training on hospital medicine teams in a large county hospital.
We aim to train the next generation of highly motivated APP hospitalists through a comprehensive education program with mentorship and clinical experience to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in an academic setting.
Objectives:
- Practice autonomously and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrate synthesis of hospital medicine core competencies and clinical reasoning
- Develop enhanced clinical judgement and advanced critical thinking skills.
- Create appropriate and efficient patient centered care plans that prioritize patient needs and preferences.
- Maintaining a high level of professional communication to optimize safety and quality outcomes.
Appointment
APP Fellows will be appointed at the level of Specialist in the Division of Hospital Medicine.
