UT Health San Antonio Recognized as VHL Clinical Care Center

UT Health San Antonio was recently recognized by the VHL Alliance as an official VHL Clinical Care Center.

VHL, or Von Hippel-Lindau disease, is a genetic disorder characterized by the development of blood vessel tumors in different parts of the body. These slow-growing tumors can arise in the brain, spinal cord, retinas, and near the inner ear.

Clinical care centers serve as an essential link in the chain of information for physicians treating VHL around the world so that they can consult with other experts and provide optimal care to their patients.
