UT Health Site Recognized as Top Enrolling Site for Boston Scientific Deep Brain Stimulation Registry

The Department of Neurosurgery is excited to share the news that the UT Health site for the Boston Scientific Deep Brain Stimulation Registry was recently recognized as the top enrolling site in the nation.

The DBS Registry is a study designed to examine the patient outcomes associated with Boston Scientific’s commercially available VERCISE™ System in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.

Congratulations to the research team members from UT Health who were involved in the accomplishment of this feat, especially investigators Juan Ramirez-Castaneda, MD, Alexander Papanastassiou, MD, Sarah Horn, MD, Alexis Santangelo, MSN, RN, NP-C, Lauren Lovering, MSN, RN, FNP-C, and Carolyn Paiz, BS.
