Education

Through our affiliation with the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, we work with 3rd and 4th year medical students as well as pediatric residents.  We strive to provide the trainees with a stimulating and well-rounded educational experience.  During their rotation, trainees are exposed to a wide variety of pediatric pulmonary diseases and come to appreciate a multidisciplinary care team model. They are taught how to obtain a comprehensive history, the nuances of the pulmonary examination, and the interpretation of chest xrays/CT scans and pulmonary function tests.  They gain a better understanding of the various modalities used for airway clearance and ventilator management.
