Applying
The UT Health San Antonio Dermatology Residency program is an advanced track program, which means applicants must have completed, or be in the process of completing, an ACGME-accredited PGY-1 GME program. We have accepted Residents from Internal Medicine, Transitional Year, and Pediatrics, although other specialties may be considered.
Applicants should apply using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) which can be accessed at www.aamc.org/eras. Applications outside of ERAS are not accepted. The following documents are required for your ERAS Application:
- Dean’s letter (MSPE)
- Personal goals statement
- Medical School Transcript
- Photograph
- 3 Letters of Recommendation (LOR’s).
- USMLE or COMLEX transcript
- For IMG’s: ECFMG status report
Preferred deadline for submitting applications is Novemer 11, but early submission by October 14 is encouraged. Applicants are strongly encouraged to take Step 2 of the USMLE exam prior to submitting their applications, so that the results can be included. Applications are reviewed by the program director and invitations for interviews are extended as early as possible. Interviews are scheduled for Friday, December 9, 2022 and Friday, January 20, 2023.
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio only accepts J-1 ECFMG visas and permanent residents.
