Vacation Time
- Interns receive 15 days of paid vacation per year
- Residents receive 15 days of paid vacation per year

Sick Leave
Interns and Residents receive 10 days of paid sick leave per year
Maternity or Paternity Leave
- Although not a separate leave category, female residents may use a combination of sick leave, vacation time and disability leave for maternity leave
- A male resident may use a combination of sick leave and annual leave to help care for his new family
Conference Travel Allowance/Medical Book Allowance
$500 per academic year for each resident to attend approved educational conferences and or the purchase of medical books
Meals, Parking, & Uniforms
- Monthly meal stipend for overnight call rotations at Univ. Hospital and Veteran’s Hospital
- Meals provided at Noon Conferences
- Free parking available close to hospitals
- White lab coats provided free of charge to incoming residents by University Hospital
