Forensic Psychiatry Evaluations
The UT Health San Antonio Psychiatry Department has many expert psychiatrists and forensic psychiatrists that can help with a variety of legal cases including CME’s for guardianship applications.
Should you need a forensic psychiatry evaluation please reach out to our Practice Supervisor for an updated fee schedule and to discuss availability for an examination:

Please provide the following information in your email:
- Type of Case: (i.e. guardianship, testamentary capacity, competency to stand trial, etc.)
- Client Details: (Name, DOB)
- Time frame for completion: (urgency of request, next court date)
- Contact: (Name, phone, and email)
Should we accept the evaluation request, we will typically require additional records. The below are some examples of records to be sent prior to the evaluation (if available):
- Signed court order for the CME (for assigned court cases)
- Application for guardianship with any information about the underlying concerns
- Medical Records from current physicians. Include any current medical or psychiatric conditions and current medications.
- Any collateral informants to talk to in regard to this case.
- Any relevant files to review prior to the interview
