Dr. Martinez is board certified in general and forensic psychiatry. She completed her medical degree and psychiatry residency at UT Health San Antonio; and attended forensic psychiatry fellowship training at the University of California, Davis.

Michael Arambula, MD, PharmD

Dr. Arambula received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He completed residency training in General Psychiatry at UTHCSA and fellowship training in Forensic Psychiatry at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center In Chicago. Dr. Arambula is Board Certified in General and Forensic Psychiatry. He also held gubernatorial appointments to the Texas Council on Offenders with Medical and Mental Disorders and the Texas Medical Board (as President) which provided him with many years of public service / experience in public policy.

Vanessa Lyons, MD
Forensic Psychiatrist

Dr. Lyons is a board-certified forensic and general psychiatrist in private forensic practice. She earned her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University, completed psychiatry residency at UT Health San Antonio, and completed forensic psychiatry fellowship training at Georgetown University. She is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and Certified Physician Executive with extensive clinical, administrative, and teaching experience.

John Wilson, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Forensic Psychiatry at UT Health San Antonio. He completed psychiatry residency at UT Health San Antonio and forensic psychiatry fellowship training at the University of Maryland. He is board certified in general and forensic psychiatry and teaches medical students, residents, fellows, and law students.

Dr. Jason Schillerstrom is a certified geriatric psychiatrist. He earned his medical degree and completed his psychiatry residency and geriatric psychiatry fellowship at UT San Antonio. He has served on the faculty since 2005 and holds the rank of Professor with tenure. Dr. Schillerstrom serves the department at the Vice Chair for Education.
