Society for Neuro-Oncology Annual Meeting and Education Day (2019)
Dr. Sandeep Burma (Neurosurgery and Biochemistry & Structural Biology) received the “Award for Excellence in Adult Basic Science” at the Society for NeuroOnclogy (SNO) Annual Meeting in Phoenix. The award, sponsored by the National Brain Tumor Society, was given for his laboratory’s research on the role of senescent astrocytes in promoting brain tumor development which Dr. Burma presented at the meeting.
