Alejandra Cabrera-Sopo, MD

Alejandra Cabrera-Sopo, MD

Dr. Alejandra Cabrera-Sopo was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She then returned to Puerto Rico to pursue her M.D. at Ponce Health Sciences University and graduated in 2019. Outside of medicine, Alejandra enjoys traveling, attempting to cook, taking new exercise classes, and going to the beach with family and friends.

Reece Clark, MD

Dr. Reece Clark received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology with minors in Spanish & chemistry from Indiana University in 2015 and his M.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019. He dedicates his free time primarily to fitness, friends & family, and reading.

Katherine Hall, MD

Katherine Hall, MD

Dr. Katherine Hall graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2011. She then pursued her Master of Science degree in Biology Medical Sciences at Mississippi College, completing it in 2013. She attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical School and received her M.D. in 2019. Her interests include working out, playing with her dogs, and spending time with family and friends.

Rosylyn James, MD

Dr. Rosylyn James grew up in Stafford, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas in 2014. She went on to attend Texas A&M College of Medicine and graduated with her M.D. in 2019. Her interests include exploring new restaurants, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Anjali Patel, MD

Dr. Anjali Patel received her Bachelor of Arts in Medical Humanities from Baylor University in 2015 and earned her M.D. from Texas A&M College of Medicine in 2019. In medical school, she volunteered at a free women’s health clinic and maternity shelter. Her interests include playing board games, crocheting, hiking, watching TV shows, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Alixandria Fiore Pfeiffer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry and History, from Marywood University in 2015. She attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she received her medical degree in 2019. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, doing all things soccer and sports related, traveling (especially adventures off the beaten path!), and exploring new places with her adorable dog, Frankie!

Rachel Counts, MD

Rachael Counts, MD

Dr. Rachael Counts grew up in Kaufman, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University in 2016. She went on to complete her M.D. at Texas A&M College of Medicine in 2020, where she was part of the A&M Integrated Medicine program. Her career goals include working with adolescents and medical students and focusing on comprehensive reproductive health education. In her free time, Rachael enjoys playing with her dog, exploring the outdoors, exercising, reading, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.

Dr. Rose Ann My Huynh received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Tulane University in 2013 and Masters of Science at the University of Houston in 2015. She received her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Texas Health San Antonio Joe and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine in 2020. Her career goal is to improve women’s health whether through direct patient care, creating new tools or advocacy. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, being a Capoeirista, dancing Ballet, playing sports and going on adventures across the Globe!

Theresa MacGregor, DO

Theresa MacGregor, DO

Dr. Theresa MacGregor grew up in Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2014. She got her Masters in Medical Science at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She then went on to complete her D.O. at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2020. Her career goal is to pursue a fellowship in Urogynecology. In her free time, Theresa enjoys playing with her greyhound Kratos, playing pickleball, cooking new recipes, building her vinyl record collection/listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Lauren Quinto grew up in the small town of Pinon Hills, California. She graduated with honors from Northern Arizona University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Spanish. She earned her M.D. in 2020 from the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. Her interests outside of medicine include dancing, cooking, exploring nature, and spending time with family and her husband and their two pugs, Pepper and Humphrey.

Dr. Blake Ann Seeker was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Health & Society. She attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she received her medical degree in 2020. Academic interests include social determinants of health and improving health disparities in local and international contexts. Outside of medicine, she enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her adorable puppy, Blue!

Nicholas Stansbury, MD

Dr. Nicholas Stansbury grew up in Hondo, Texas and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2015. He earned his MD in 2020 at UT Health San Antonio Joe and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine and was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He is trained as a Green and Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma and is passionate about quality improvement research. His outside interests include spending time with family, traveling, golfing, hunting and intermittent fasting.

Bekir Serdar Unlu

Bekir Serdar Unlu, MD

Dr. Bekir Serdar Unlu was born and raised in Urgup, Cappadocia, Turkey. He graduated from the Hacettepe University Medical School, Turkey and earned his M.D. in 1999.  He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2004 and then worked in Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology fields in Turkey. During this period, he also focused on research and published more than 50 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He came to the US to improve his knowledge in the research field and decided to continue his career in the United States after he was granted a green card for individuals with exceptional ability in fields of science. His career goal is to pursue his career in Urogynecology. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, cooking traditional Turkish foods, cycling, and reading.

Dr. Alia Yaghi graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology in 2015. After, she completed a one-year fellowship at Ravenswood Family Health Center in East Palo Alto, CA, learning more about social determinants of health and equitable care. She then returned to Texas and attended UT Health San Antonio Joe and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine where she received her M.D. in 2020. Outside of medicine, she enjoys kickboxing, gardening, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family.

Julia Armstrong, MD

Dr. Julia Armstrong grew up in Boerne, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic and Investigative Sciences. She earned her MD in 2021 at McGovern Medical School at UT Health Houston. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends at her family’s ranch in South Texas and fishing along the Texas coast.

Madison Chapman, MD

Dr. Madison Chapman graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2017. He attended medical school at University of Texas Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine and received his M.D. in 2021. His outside interests include playing disc golf, grilling, and cooking for friends and family, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and two dogs.

Dr. Hailey Gaskamp grew up in New Braunfels, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. She received her medical degree from the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021. Her hobbies include cooking, swimming, travel, and trying new restaurants. She loves hanging out with her husband, toddler, friends, and her two dogs.

Dr. Lindsay Hartup graduated with honors from Lake Forest College (Illinois) in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Politics. She earned her M.D. with honors from the Joe and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio in 2021. Outside of medicine, she enjoys playing soccer, hiking, pickleball, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Bryce Munter, MD

Dr. Bryce Munter graduated from Arizona State University in 2016 with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. She worked as a quality engineer before attending medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix, and received her M.D. in 2021. Her interests outside of medicine include watching movies, dancing to any type of music, exploring new places, and a good charcuterie board.

Adrienne Pyle, MD

Dr. Adrienne Pyle is from Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Creighton University (Omaha, NE) with a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Anthropology and Spanish. She attended medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine and received her MD in 2021. Her academic interests include patient advocacy, palliative care, identifying and addressing structural determinants of health, LGBTQ/NB care, adolescent medicine, social justice policy, and reproductive health equity. Outside of medicine, she enjoys podcasts, Tom Hanks movies, national parks, state fair food, creating artwork, and cuddling her cat, Luna.

Catherine Smith, MD

Dr. Catherine Smith graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. She received her Master of Medical Sciences at Boston University. During her time in Boston, she served as a Research Fellow at Joslin Diabetes Center. She attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exploring local restaurants, reading, spinning, and adventuring outdoors.

Mirka Trejo, MD

Dr. Mirka Trejo grew up in Arlington, Texas. She graduated from University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She attended medical school at UT Health San Antonio Joe and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine where she received her M.D. in 2021. Her interests outside of medicine include spending time with her family and friends, weightlifting, cooking, and traveling.

Dr. James Bunch was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. He received his Master of Science in Medical Education from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2018. He was awarded his MD degree in 2022 from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine where he was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. During medical school he also received his Master of Business Administration in Health Organization Management from the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration at Texas Tech University. Outside of medicine he enjoys cooking, grilling, gardening, and exploring the Texas hill country.

Dr. Luis Carrillo was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Saint Mary’s University. Afterwards, he attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston and graduated in 2022 as a UTMB Translational Research Scholar. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, creating art, and spending time with his wife, dog (named Oreo!), family, & friends.

Dr. Nathalie Chang is from Orlando, Florida. She graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Art in Chemistry. Afterward, she attended medical school at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine and received her M.D. in 2022 with Cum Laude. Her interests outside of medicine include tennis, pickleball, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

Kelly Deininger, DO

Dr. Kelly Deininger graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Bioethics. She then attended medical school at the A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona and graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2022. Her professional interests include caring for the LGBTQ community, patient advocacy, global health, and surgical care. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, exercising, cooking, and going on adventures with her significant other and two rescue dogs.

Carah Griffin, MD

Dr. Carah Griffin grew up in Port Arthur, Texas (Land of the Trill). She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin in 2016. She received her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2022. A few of her interests outside of academic medicine include cooking, dominating board game nights, shower karaoke, going to concerts/festivals, spending time with her friends and family, and enjoying the idea of going on hikes.

Erik Holder is from Upland, Indiana. He graduated from Calvin University (Grand Rapids, MI) in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He then completed a combination MD/MPH degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2022. His academic interests include working in underserved populations, surgical medicine, global health, LGBTQ+ and gender medicine, and equitable care for everyone. Outside of medicine he enjoys traveling, triathlon competitions, breweries, and exploring restaurants with family and friends.

Lauren Kubas, MD

Dr. Lauren Kubas graduated from Arizona State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. She attended medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia and received her Medical Doctorate in 2022. Dr. Kubas matched with her husband, who is completing his Radiology residency at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two rescue dogs, playing board games, and traveling.

She then attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, receiving her M.D. in 2022. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, and exploring new restaurants with her family and friends.
