Welcome

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care aims to be the preeminent provider of critical care services for the children of South Texas. We are committed to being in the forefront for quality, reputation, and education. Clinical services remain a strong commitment of the Division along with the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows from the UT Health San Antonio. Links to our education section provide opportunities for continuing education with the goal of training for the best care of critically ill children.

Clinic Facilities

Our clinical expertise provides a wide range of services caring for critically ill children. These services require the special talents of many individuals. We maintain two Level 3 Pediatric Intensive Care Units, each with its unique set of abilities and special services. Our Transport Team for critically ill children aids in the care of over 500 children each year. Our subspecialty programs, including The Congenital Heart Program at University Hospital, provide the most comprehensive evaluation and treatment services available to the children of South Texas. This diverse system allows for the best care in the region.
