Critical Care Pediatric Fellowship

Our Pediatric Critical Care Team at UT Health San Antonio serves a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric Congenital Cardiac Unit (PCCU) at University Hospital, ranked the best hospital in the San Antonio metro area by U.S. News and World Report.

We have a 12 bed PICU and a 16 bed variable-acuity PCCU. We have an intermediate care unit within PICU, which serves as a “step down” unit, as well as for the care of technology dependent children. Our fellows graduate with a deep understanding and capability to manage the care of patients with not only primary pediatric diseases, but also polytrauma, congenital cardiac defects, renal and hepatic transplantation, and patients with the need for ECMO and other extracorporeal modalities. Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care is available through UT Health San Antonio, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Critical Care.
