Clinical Rotation Sites

University Health Women’s and Children’s Hospital (San Antonio, Texas)

The Women’s & Children’s Hospital is located on the University Health Main Campus. It is the first hospital in South Texas exclusively focused on the unique needs of women and children. This recently-constructed hospital features 12 stories and 300-beds for women, babies and children with additional shell space for future growth.

Fellows will complete core and elective rotations here including:

• General Inpatient Pediatrics
• Newborn Nursery/Neonatology
• Pediatric Procedural Sedation Services
• Pediatric Subspecialty Rotations

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center (Austin, Texas)

We are happy to partner with St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, a community hospital with multiple pediatric services including emergency care, inpatient unit, and ICU. Fellows will gain experience managing patients outside of an academic setting and gain autonomy with a variety of day and night shifts. Fellows will spend a total of 4 weeks rotating at this community site. Housing/accommodations will be provided by the program if needed while completing the community site rotation.
